Beyond the Ballroom: Event Design for a Company Appreciation Event

When you hear “corporate AV,” a company appreciation party might not be the first event that comes to mind. But AV and production can play just as big of a role in a celebration as they do in a conference or gala.
For a recent client appreciation event, we helped carry a Western theme throughout the venue using lighting, drape and scenic design.
Setting the Tone From the Start

The experience began at the entrance and check-in, giving guests an immediate introduction to the theme.
From there, gobo lighting added visual interest throughout the lobby, while drape and scenic elements helped connect the different areas of the event.
Creating the Cocktail Hour

For the bar and lounge area, bistro lighting and white velvet draping created a warm setting for the cocktail hour.
The goal across each space was consistency. Even as guests moved from one room to another, lighting and scenic choices carried the Western theme with them.
AV Goes Beyond the Main Stage
Event production doesn’t always mean a big stage or general session. Thoughtful lighting, drape and scenic design can completely change how guests experience a company party, appreciation event or other celebration.
Planning something a little outside the typical corporate event? Let’s talk about how AV and event design can help set the tone from the moment your guests arrive.
